The Workshop 

This part of the course is very much hands on using hand tools under supervision and where students work on measurements, fluids, servicing records etc. We do not allow students to work with either welding or grinding equipment. Use of lifting equipment is only carried out under supervision.

The students cover car maintenance tasks including changing exhausts, oil, filters, removal and recharging the battery & changing a wheel etc. This followed by more in depth work covering engine changes, clutch replacement, brake and suspension repairs. Throughout their work, evidence will be gathered and authenticated by the Workshop Supervisor for inclusion in the student's portfolio which will form the basis for accreditation. The workshop also places emphasis on team working, safe working practises health and safety, life and social skills and a work place environment.
